How to find the right product for your sensitive skin?

It's hard to find the right routine to care for your skin. But while in the kitchen you can play around and taste your dish to find the right seasoning, we advise you not to be too adventurous when it comes to your skin, especially if it’s sensitive. It's all about taking it one step at a time. Finding the right cleanser, moisturiser or gentle yet effective scrub can take time. The key is to avoid overtaxing your skin, so it's a good idea to: 

• Reduce the number of skin care products you use each day, so your skin is less likely to come across a product that irritates it; 
• Keep the same skincare routine for a long time, as this will make it easier to identify the cosmetics that your skin can tolerate in the long term. 

Sensitive skin and cosmetics: ingredients to avoid

Some skin care products contain dozens of different substances. Some of them can be a source of irritation. They can trigger reactions and discomfort in sensitive skin, such as tightness, flushing or tingling. To choose a cream or cleanser that’s suitable for your sensitive skin, you should therefore look for simple, clean formulas that contain only the ingredients that are useful for the skin. You should avoid formulations with preservatives or fragrance, which are too aggressive and have no added care value. What are known as "sterile cosmetics" are to be preferred, as they are designed to avoid the addition of these preservatives without degrading the quality of the active ingredients.
