Choosing the right formulas

Which cream should I use for my sensitive skin? Which cleanser should I choose to clean my face and body? These are questions that all people with reactive skin ask themselves. To avoid redness, tightness and tingling, the solution – or rather the formula – is simple. Follow this guide to find the most suitable products for the most sensitive skin.

How to find the right product for your sensitive skin?

It's hard to find the right routine to care for your skin. But while in the kitchen you can play around and taste your dish to find the right seasoning, we advise you not to be too adventurous when it comes to your skin, especially if it’s sensitive. It's all about taking it one step at a time. Finding the right cleanser, moisturiser or gentle yet effective scrub can take time. The key is to avoid overtaxing your skin, so it's a good idea to:

  • Reduce the number of skin care products you use each day, so your skin is less likely to come across a product that irritates it;
  • Keep the same skincare routine for a long time, as this will make it easier to identify the cosmetics that your skin can tolerate in the long term.

Sensitive skin and cosmetics: ingredients to avoid

Some skin care products contain dozens of different substances. Some of them can be a source of irritation. They can trigger reactions and discomfort in sensitive skin, such as tightness, flushing or tingling. To choose a cream or cleanser that’s suitable for your sensitive skin, you should therefore look for simple, clean formulas that contain only the ingredients that are useful for the skin. You should avoid formulations with preservatives or fragrance, which are too aggressive and have no added care value. What are known as "sterile cosmetics" are to be preferred, as they are designed to avoid the addition of these preservatives without degrading the quality of the active ingredients.

FRIENDLY (AND EXPERT) ADVICE

Sensitive skin: 3 tips for finding the right formula

  • Select formulas with as few ingredients as possible, because the fewer ingredients there are, the more you minimise the risk of coming across a substance that your skin does not tolerate.
  • Choose hypoallergenic products, which are more suitable for sensitive skin as they are designed and tested to minimise the risk of allergic reactions.
  • Opt for dermo-cosmetic products with natural ingredients, i.e. without any chemical transformation or "synthesis".

Sterile cosmetics

The solution for sensitive skin

As you can see, the more ingredients you add up, the greater the risk of uncomfortable sensations appearing. The most suitable formula for sensitive skin is therefore one that eliminates all superfluous elements. How is this possible? Thanks to a very specific know-how, the Sterile Cosmetics® technology.
What are Sterile Cosmetics®? It's all in the name! Cosmetic, because they include all the ingredients needed to perfectly care for your skin. Sterile, because they are manufactured in a totally aseptic environment and are hermetically sealed to prevent contamination.

Sterile Cosmetics® formulas contain only ingredients that are of added value to the skin. Ingredients such as fragrances and preservatives are not used.
These formulas have been tested on the most demanding skin types and have proven their worth (1). With a minimum amount of ingredients, no preservatives and no fragrances, Sterile Cosmetics® succeed in taking good care of sensitive skin while respecting the skin and the cutaneous microbiome.
(1) Scientifically proven by in vitro study. Study carried out on 1,200 patients, with skin types ranging from sensitive to the most demanding (atopic, allergy-prone, irritations, superficial post-procedure).
